Snapshots from Green Victoria

A nice rack is good to find...

PorchThis was the first true springtime weekend that we've had so far in New England, so you know what that meant: yard work, and lots of it! Well, perhaps not as much as we could have, but Corb had to work yesterday until four. After that, we dug right in, and then spent all of this morning, until around one, cleaning around the place.

I mowed for the first time at the house! You know, when I moved away from the Homestead te years ago, I said I'd never mow again. How wrong I was...and also, I never realized how much I missed it. Get the motor started, plug me in to Pandora with my tunes blazing, and I am ready to go! Now, imagine me belting out show tunes as I mow (for me: more Hairspary, and way, way, way less Les Miz, which they are so overplaying right now)...Corb was quite amused. It was his first time seeing Ted the Mower.
The photo that I have attached is my current favorite section of Green Victoria: it's our front porch, and we've placed on it an old bakers rack that we refurbished years ago. I like where it's located, and I also cannot wait to start putting flowers and other leafy green things on it. I think it's going to look fantastic! As it is, when I drive home from work at night, that is the section my eyes automatically gravitate to.
After that, I spent an hour playing...of all things, Animal Crossing, and then, another hour catching up with some of the lives of my Live Journal buds. Gotta say, that's why I like Live Journal way better than Facebook. You get such a deeper dive. I get tired of wading in the shallow end of the pool!

Oh, and in puppy news...guess who just started heading to Massachusetts this morning? Kyra! I don't think she looks thrilled at all, however...
