The countdown begins

As of half an hour from now, I am officially on vacation. And the next ten days are looking pretty damn good to me, right now.

Not sure what we'll be doing yet. I *think* we'll be going to Salem at one point for Ashes, and swimming in New Hampshire. I would like to go to Provincetown, but Corb says that's because I'm an alcoholic.

On Wednesday and Thursday I traveled to New York City. Stayed at the Affinia across from Penn Station, my favorite place to stay, and bought tickets to see "The End of the Rainbow," the first time I've seen a show alone on Broadway since Xanadu. I always pick gay when I travel alone, it seems.

It was a good show. The lady who played Judy Garland was phenomenal. It was also tremendously powerful and depressing. Such an enormous talent, such a miserable life. Having gone into the theater slightly tipsy after two mojitos at Havana's, it made me reflect a bit.

In addition, Corb and I have made the decision to look around for a condo. I think things are going better for us. With Corb's debts falling away in about three months and some of mine shortly after that, things are looking a little more comfortable financially. And after all, I only have three more years of child support. I can truly see the light at the end of the tunnel.

We are looking at places that will allow me to have a den. Such a simple desire, and maybe finally it will come true.

This is a really good time in my life.
