Snapshots from Green Victoria

This Valentine's Day will also be my eight month anniversary with Corb.

It's funny to think how fast things have gone in just eight months. I was just looking at my Live Journal entry for that first date today.

"Friday, May 14th, 2004 04:02 pm
I went out at lunch today and picked up a new pair of black jeans and a black shirt for tonight. I think we'll be eating at Cav, at the recommendation of my guru and personal fashion adviser, Daniel. But I do need sunglasses. As usual, I lost my latest pair. I feel as though I'm treating myself tonight. This is fun, actually, and I'm taking this far more seriously than I have others. I'm not sure whether thats a good or a bad thing. I think I'll leave work a bit early. No one will be in next week, so I'll be manning the fort for three days. It'd be nice to get some time to clean out the car!"

That night we walked around Providence for hours, and stayed up all night talking until four in the morning. And now look where we are!

This weekend was the height in domesticity. Because of our trip to New York, the place has become a bit of a mess, so we spent the entire weekend cleaning and doing laundry. We brought three huge bags to Laundry World (Imagine! An entire world of laundry), and spent about two hours folding warm sheets and shirts(there's no better feeling) and watching "Dodgeball." We also shopped around for drapes and prints, and I have to say, the apartment really is gorgeous. Much better than my messy bachelor pad.

The kids slept over Friday and I was with them until Saturday afternoon, and then they came over on Sunday afternoon until eight. We bought the final season of Buffy and took in the first episode. It's amazing to see how much the kids love hanging around Corb. After we dropped them back home, we snuggled on the couch and watched that "rebuild you home" show and "Desperate Housewives," and then Corb went to bed, and I looked over Act Two of "Oklahoma!" to begin preliminary blocking.

I'm feeling better about that. There's one line I really like in the show. Really, really like.

I don't say I'm no better than anybody else,
But I'll be damned if I ain't jist as good!

This is a really good time in my life right now.
