Snapshots from Green Victoria

When I was in high school, I used to write my journal in the third person, as though it were a continuing story. If I were to look at my day today, and write it in that style now, it would go something like this:

"While the Cats away...

Joe was out of the office for two days at a conference in Newport, so Ted spent most of the day sending IMs to Dana, this new guy that he's been talking up a storm with. Dana has two kids and is separated from his wife, too, and seems to be a bit of a serial dater. Ted wonders whether he should meet up with him, because he looks like the spitting image of Michael, someone he's always lusted after, but wonders where things would go. Still, he feels a strong connection.

Annie was dumped again by Chris, and is stuck without a date to the prom. Her fault, in some ways: she was going with Chad, but talked him out of going when she thought she could get back together with Chris. He dumped her because she had the nerve to call his house without permission.

Ashley is working on a play, but grew frustrated with Alexis, who wouldn't be in the play unless she rewrote the ending. She had a meltdown when Ted arrived home, which led to words between Annie and Ted. But everything got worked out by the time Ted left for his apartment. Amber came over to visit the kids, because she's sleeping over Faith's while Pauline is on vacation."
