But T. R. Knight. Well, hmmmm....now there's someone who actually makes me dribble into my dribble cup. In fact, he's the only reason I've actually watched even five minutes of Gray's Anatomy.
Just ask Corb. About watching that show, that is. Personally, I've never been able to bear watching hospital dramas, for some reason. Before the opening credits roll, you'll find me hightailing it into the other room.
I think it's because these shows always seem to feel the obsessive need to deal with actual hospital situations. I mean, injuries and stuff like that. Blood. Cutting people up. Why can't they just go the General Hospital route and just use the hospital setting as a convenient backdrop to tell stories about nothing even remotely related to the hospital? I had trouble enough sitting through the surgery scenes on M*A*S*H! I felt nauseous sitting through the second act of Evita! How am I supposed to sit through, say, last week's episode of ER, which featured a guy with an ice pick through his head?
That's another thing. All these shows are always looking to showcase some medical oddity, like some modern day version of P.T. Barnum's freak show. A man who discovers he has two easter eggs inside his scrotum. Siamese twins cojoined at the buttcheeks...do they wipe with a plunger? A man flattened by a steamroller whom the brilliant-yet-troubled internist manages to restore to all three dimensions using a bicycle pump.
No thanks. I prefer my real life scenarios to be just a bit more surreal.
Ooops. I was using a black permanent marker to finish off my Christmas cards, and guess what I accidentally did to the brand new chair that we just bought?
Corb's going to kill me when he finds out. You'll keep it a secret, though, won't you? I mean, there might be a small chance that he'll never read this...maybe...
For some reason, lately, when I'm typing entries in Live Journal to post, my keyboard isn't responding well. It skips over letters, same as it does when I'm using Josie's keyboard at the homestead. What that means is that even though I type all the keys, I don't gt all the letters to appear, and I have to edit constantly. (Notice how "get" became "gt" in that last sentence?) What's up with that? Very annoying.
